Happy Monday everyone! What did you do this weekend? Mike and I drove to San Diego for a baby shower – I feel like I haven’t stopped moving in weeks. I’m trying to slow down in the next few days and take some me-time.
Question of the day: did you choose your bridesmaids dresses, or did you let them choose? If you chose their dresses, how did you decide on a price-point? Did you poll them to find out what they were able to spend? Were you preemptively conservative on price? Or was price not a factor at all?
I always thought that I would pick my bridesmaids dresses (totally unlike my controlling personality…). I like the idea of everyone looking uniform – like a bridal squad. But the more I’ve been researching and talking to people, the more I’m wondering if letting everyone choose their own dress it the way to go.
It’s kind of a predicament, since we’re having a destination wedding. We’re already asking our guests and friends to incur higher expenses. Part of me is uncomfortable mandating what they spend on their dress. I’m wondering if I need to let go of this aspect of control.
I’m considering sending a dress that I like as an example and letting them find something similar within their budget. How did you handle bridesmaids dresses? Would love to hear in the comment section!
My Leith Ruffle Trim Maxi dress is under $80 and SO comfy!
